Nitrokey is a German line of open-source hardware security keys for two-factor authentication, passkeys, FIDO2/WebAuthn, OpenPGP, S/MIME, SSH login, key management, and encrypted storage. It targets individuals, administrators, and organizations that want local hardware-backed authentication and cryptographic key storage without relying on a US authenticator app or proprietary security-key ecosystem.
