Open-source web conferencing system designed for virtual classrooms with features like screen sharing, breakout rooms, polling, whiteboards, and recording. Originally developed at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, BigBlueButton is fully self-hostable under LGPL-3.0 license and can be deployed on European infrastructure for GDPR compliance.
